Job summary
Placements24 invites a Senior Reservoir Geologist to join a globally recognized energy leader on a fully remote basis. You will interpret seismic data, log and core analyses to build high-resolution reservoir models and estimate volumes to support drilling decisions.
The role requires a PhD or MSc in Geology, 10+ years in exploration or development geology, and strong skills in Petrel, Kingdom, and GeoGraphix.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geosciences, or a related field with specialization in sedimentology or petroleum geology.
- Minimum of 10 years in exploration or development geology with emphasis on reservoir characterization.
- Proficiency in geological modeling software (Petrel, Kingdom Suite, GeoGraphix).
- Advanced seismic interpretation, well log analysis and core analysis skills.
- Experience in reserve estimation and uncertainty analysis.
Responsibilities
- Interpret seismic data, wells, and cores to build 3D geological models.
- Estimate hydrocarbon volumes and assess reservoir uncertainty.
- Integrate geological data with engineering and production information.
- Identify and evaluate exploration targets and development opportunities.
- Collaborate virtually with reservoir engineers, geophysicists and drilling teams.
- Prepare geological reports and present findings.
