Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Lead Reservoir Engineer to drive reservoir management in a hybrid work setting based in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will lead studies, develop models to forecast production, and guide development decisions while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a strong background in reservoir engineering, petrophysics, and economics, with leadership and collaboration across geoscience and production teams. Hybrid arrangement supports in-office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Experience with economic analysis and reserve reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead reservoir studies including characterization, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Develop and manage reservoir simulation models to forecast production.
• Oversee reserve estimation and reporting.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and production optimization.
• Mentor junior reservoir engineers.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers on field development plans.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices and company standards.
