Placements24 is seeking a Senior Petroleum Engineer to join a fully remote team supporting East London operations in oil and gas. The role focuses on optimizing reservoir performance and maximizing hydrocarbon recovery through advanced engineering analysis and strategic planning.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in Petroleum Engineering, 8+ years of experience, and proven expertise with Eclipse or CMG and production optimization tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in petroleum engineering with emphasis on reservoir and production engineering.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG) and production optimization tools.
• Experience analyzing well performance, identifying production bottlenecks, and implementing solutions.
• Strong understanding of economics, risk assessment, and project management in Oil & Gas contexts.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir performance analysis and forecasting to optimize field development plans.
• Design and implement artificial lift systems, well interventions, and stimulation treatments.
• Analyze well test data, production logs, and reservoir simulation results.
• Develop economic models and evaluations for various production scenarios and projects.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to integrate subsurface data and operational plans.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and present findings to senior management and project stakeholders.
