Placements24 is seeking a Lead Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote position in the Oil & Gas sector. The role leads reservoir studies, optimization, and provides technical guidance from a home office.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in reservoir engineering, experience with Eclipse/CMG, economic modeling, and mentoring staff. Remote-first with global projects and collaboration with subsurface and operations teams.

Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering.
10+ years of reservoir engineering experience with leadership roles.
Experience with Eclipse/CMG reservoir simulators.
Strong skills in economic modeling and risk analysis.
Excellent communication and ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

Lead reservoir studies, including characterization, simulation, and forecasting.
Optimize field development plans and production strategies.
Perform detailed economic evaluations and uncertainty analyses.
Oversee the use of advanced reservoir simulation software and techniques.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of reservoir engineers and geoscientists.
Collaborate with subsurface and operations teams for integrated asset management.
Prepare and present technical reports to senior management.
Contribute to best practices and new technologies in reservoir management.
Manage project timelines and deliverables.
