Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for its Stellenbosch, Western Cape team. The role focuses on optimizing hydrocarbon recovery, performing reservoir characterization, and developing long-term field development plans in a hybrid work setting.

The candidate brings 8+ years in reservoir engineering, expertise in reservoir simulation (ECLIPSE/CMG), and strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate across geoscience, production, and management teams.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years’ reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG).
• Knowledge of reservoir fluids, rock mechanics, and EOR concepts.
• Experience in field development planning, economic analysis, and uncertainty assessment.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Characterize reservoirs using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and manage reservoir simulation models to forecast performance.
• Evaluate and select enhanced oil recovery options to maximize recovery.
• Perform economic evaluations and uncertainty analyses for field plans.
• Monitor reservoir performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with geoscientists and production engineers; mentor juniors.
