Placements24 seeks a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our client in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will optimize hydrocarbon recovery, evaluate reservoir performance, and provide technical leadership across exploration and production strategies.

The role requires 8+ years in reservoir engineering within Oil & Gas, with strong simulation and analytical skills. Master’s degree preferred. International collaboration and continuous technical development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency with reservoir simulation software (Eclipse/CMG/Petrel).
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and drive mechanisms.
• Experience with SPE PRMS reserve estimation/reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze geological and geophysical data to build accurate reservoir models.
• Develop and implement reservoir simulation studies to optimize production.
• Perform material balance, decline curve analysis, and performance evaluations.
• Estimate reserves and forecast performance for management.
• Oversee EOR technique implementations and optimization.
• Collaborate with drilling, production and geoscience teams.
