Placements24 is seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer for its Upington operations to optimize hydrocarbon recovery through advanced reservoir characterization, modeling, and production forecasting. You will lead cross-functional efforts and contribute to strategic development plans within a challenging energy sector.

The role requires strong experience in reservoir simulation, economic evaluation, and collaboration with geologists, geophysicists, and production engineers to maximize asset value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in reservoir engineering with upstream focus.
• Experience with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE/Tempest/CMG).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reservoir models to predict production.
• Perform decline curve analysis and material balance.
• Plan data acquisition programs (core analysis, well tests).
• Recommend well placement, completion strategies, and EOR methods.
• Conduct economic evaluations for projects and production improvements.
• Collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and engineers to integrate data.
