Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Petroleum Engineer specialized in Reservoir Analysis in Midrand to evaluate subsurface reservoirs and optimize hydrocarbon recovery. The role includes building and calibrating reservoir models, forecasting production, and providing technical insights for field development plans.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in reservoir engineering, proficiency with Eclipse and Petrel RE, and strong analytical communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering and analysis.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir physics, geology, and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reservoir characterization studies using geological and engineering data.
• Develop and calibrate reservoir simulation models to predict fluid flow and production performance.
• Estimate hydrocarbon reserves and forecast production profiles for new and existing fields.
• Analyze well performance data and recommend strategies for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with drilling and production teams to ensure reservoir objectives are met during operations.
