Job summary

Pivot Placements is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major renewable energy projects in South Africa, bringing a track record of delivering complex initiatives.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, reporting to Steering Committees and SPV partners, manage budgets and procurement, coordinate engineering and subcontractors, and ensure strong stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree is required; SACPCMP registration will be advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years’ professional experience, including at least 3 years leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in energy/renewable project delivery and progress reporting to Steering Committee.
• Proven budgeting, cost control and cash-flow management capabilities.
• Experience with procurement management and coordination of subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead major renewable energy projects in South Africa.
• Manage project schedules and monthly progress reporting to stakeholders.
• Oversee budgets, invoices, cost forecasts and SPV/partner reporting.
• Coordinate procurement processes, RFQs and supplier negotiations.
• Coordinate engineering requirements during project execution.
• Maintain stakeholder communications and compliance with SPV contracts.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers, including change orders and issue resolution.
