Job summary

Pivot Placements is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major renewable energy projects in South Africa, bringing a track record of delivering complex initiatives.

You will oversee planning, scheduling, reporting to Steering Committees and SPV partners, manage budgets and procurement, coordinate engineering and subcontractors, and ensure strong stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree is required; SACPCMP registration will be advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years’ professional experience, including at least 3 years leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in energy/renewable project delivery and progress reporting to Steering Committee.
• Proven budgeting, cost control and cash-flow management capabilities.
• Experience with procurement management and coordination of subcontractors.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager in the renewable space.

Energy Industry: International energy company seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major energy projects in South Africa.

• Experience: Minimum 8 years’ professional experience, including at least 3 years managing multidisciplinary project teams and third parties.
• Project Planning & Reporting: Responsible for project schedules, monthly progress reporting, Steering Committee reporting and SPV/partner reporting.
• Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, invoices, cost forecasts, provisions and cash-flow in collaboration with Finance and Engineering/Construction.
• Procurement Management: Oversee procurement of project services and supplies, RFQs, technical queries, negotiations and adjudication processes.
• Engineering Management: Coordinate and manage all engineering requirements arising during the project execution phase.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Maintain strong communication with project stakeholders and ensure compliance with SPV contractual obligations, reporting, invoicing and handover requirements.
• Subcontractor & Supplier Management: Manage contractors and suppliers, including schedules, quality, invoices, certifications, change orders, negotiations and resolution of commercial/technical issues.
• Compliance, Documentation & QSE: Ensure project documentation are properly managed and implemented. Engineering Degree required; SACPCMP registration will be advantageous.
