Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Structural Engineer to join our engineering team from Richards Bay. You will design, analyze, and oversee structural components for a variety of projects, coordinating with architects and construction teams in a virtual setting.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 6+ years of experience, and strong proficiency with SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and CAD. You will stay current with codes like SANS/Eurocode and contribute to challenging projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent accreditation.
Minimum of 6 years of structural engineering design and analysis experience.
Proficiency with structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD software.
Strong understanding of building codes (SANS, Eurocode) and engineering principles.
Excellent remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for buildings and renovations, ensuring code compliance.
Develop structural drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD and related tools.
Review plans to identify structural issues and provide solutions.
