Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Logistics Planner to join a fully remote operations team supporting a Mahikeng hub. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing complex logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's in a related field, 8+ years of experience, and strong skills in WMS/TMS, data analysis, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in logistics planning or supply chain optimization.
• Expertise in using WMS, TMS, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine long-term and short-term logistics plans, including network design, transportation strategies, and inventory management.
• Analyze logistics data, market trends, and operational performance to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings.
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and sales to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
• Evaluate and select third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
• Implement and oversee the use of advanced logistics and planning software to optimize operations.
• Lead projects focused on process improvement, technology adoption, and supply chain innovation.
