Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic and analytical Remote Logistics Planner to join our client’s expanding operations team. This fully remote role focuses on developing efficient logistics plans and cost-effective movement of goods across Port Elizabeth and nationwide.

You will analyze routes, model scenarios with planning tools, collaborate with carriers and warehouses, and report on performance metrics. A Bachelor's in Logistics and 4+ years of experience are required, with strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of logistics planning or supply chain analysis experience.
• Proficiency with logistics planning software and data analysis tools (Excel, TMS).
• Strong analytical and communication skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimized transportation plans considering cost, speed, and reliability.
• Analyze current logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and improvements.
• Model scenarios and forecast transportation needs using planning tools.
• Collaborate with carriers, warehouses, and stakeholders to ensure plan execution.
• Monitor shipment progress and address potential delays proactively.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and key metrics for management.
