Placements24 seeks a strategic and analytical Remote Logistics Planner to optimize routes, manage resources, and align operations with company goals. This fully remote role serves clients across Bloemfontein and nationwide, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.

You will develop optimized transportation plans, manage carrier relationships, analyze data for improvements, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with warehousing teams using advanced planning software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of transportation modes, freight management, and logistics software (e.g., TMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a remote environment.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement optimal transportation plans and routes to minimize transit times and costs.
• Manage carrier relationships, negotiate freight rates, and monitor carrier performance.
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
