Placements24 is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for a fully remote role in the energy sector. You will evaluate subsurface conditions, analyze soil/rock mechanics, assess seismic risks, and develop foundation designs for large-scale energy projects.

With 8+ years in geotechnical engineering and proficiency in PLAXIS, GeoStudio and FLAC, you will guide project teams remotely, deliver high-quality reports, and support ground improvement strategies across global sites.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering with Geotechnical focus, or related field.
Minimum of 8 years of geotechnical engineering experience in energy or large infrastructure projects.
Expertise in soil mechanics, rock mechanics and foundation engineering.
Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (PLAXIS, GeoStudio, FLAC).
Experience with seismic analysis and hazard assessment.
Strong report writing and communication skills for remote work.
Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed geotechnical investigations, site characterization and lab testing analyses.
Perform stability analyses for slopes, foundations and earth structures.
Develop foundation design recommendations for energy infrastructure components.
Assess seismic hazards and design mitigation measures.
Evaluate ground improvement techniques for project needs.
Prepare geotechnical reports, proposals and memorandums.
Provide guidance to junior staff and collaborate remotely with teams.
Review and interpret geological and geophysical data.
