Placements24 seeks a skilled Dispute Resolution Lawyer for a remote-first position in South Africa. You will advise clients and represent them in litigation, arbitration, and mediation, shaping strategies for complex matters in a flexible virtual environment.

You will draft court documents, develop outcomes, and manage a caseload independently while meeting tight deadlines in a fully remote setup.

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 7 years of experience specifically in dispute resolution and litigation.
• Proven track record of success in handling complex commercial disputes.
• Exceptional negotiation, advocacy, and client management skills.
• Strong understanding of procedural law and evidence.
• Ability to work independently, manage a caseload remotely, and meet demanding deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of dispute resolution cases from initial assessment to final resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to build strong cases for clients.
• Draft pleadings, applications, and other court documents.
• Represent clients in arbitrations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on the best course of action to resolve disputes.
