Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Remote Automotive Diagnostic Engineer to join a global engineering team. You will develop and refine advanced diagnostic solutions for next-generation vehicles, analyzing large data streams and troubleshooting ECU diagnostics from a distributed workspace.

The role requires 7+ years in automotive embedded systems or diagnostics, strong C/C++, Python skills and experience with UDS/OBD-II protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
7+ years in automotive embedded systems development or diagnostics.
Proficiency in C/C++, Python and diagnostic protocols such as UDS/OBD-II.
Experience analyzing large datasets and deriving insights.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and validate advanced diagnostic algorithms and software for vehicle systems.
Analyze complex vehicle data logs to identify root causes of performance issues.
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate diagnostic features into ECUs.
Design and conduct remote testing for diagnostic tools and software updates.
Create technical documentation including specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
Stay updated on trends in automotive diagnostics and embedded systems.
