Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Diagnostic Specialist for a fully remote role. The position focuses on using advanced diagnostic tools to identify root causes of complex vehicle issues, document findings, and guide repair strategies.

Based near Rustenburg, you will collaborate with peers to ensure top-quality service. The ideal candidate has proven diagnostic experience, strong knowledge of engine management and electronics, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

Experience as Automotive Diagnostic Specialist or similar role.
Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and software.
Strong understanding of engine management, emissions and electronics.
Certifications such as ASE Diagnostics are desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work remotely and manage tasks independently.

Responsibilities

Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex vehicle issues, including engine performance, transmission problems, and electronic system failures.
Operate and interpret data from advanced diagnostic scanners, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
Research technical service bulletins and manufacturer repair data to assist in troubleshooting.
Develop and implement repair strategies for challenging diagnostic problems.
Document all diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommendations accurately.
Collaborate with other technicians to share knowledge and resolve complex issues.
