Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer specialized in Automotive Components to join a fully remote team. You will design, analyze, and test critical mechanical elements, contributing to vehicle performance and safety from your home office.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in automotive component design, expertise with CATIA or NX and analysis tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus, and excellent remote collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering with automotive specialization.
• 6+ years designing automotive mechanical components.
• Proficient in CATIA or Siemens NX and ANSYS or Abaqus.
• Know automotive standards, materials and manufacturing processes.
• DFMEA and DVP&R experience desirable.
• Strong remote collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automotive mechanical components (powertrain, chassis, thermal).
• Perform detailed analysis (FEA/CFD) to optimize performance, durability and weight.
• Create 3D models, drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams for integration.
• Conduct virtual testing and validation; troubleshoot issues remotely.
• Stay updated on latest automotive tech trends.
