Placements24 is seeking a Senior Automotive Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of advanced automotive components, with a fully remote setup aligned to our Sandton base. You will analyze performance, run CAD/CAE simulations, and collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative, safe solutions.

A Master’s or PhD and 5+ years in automotive design are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of automotive mechanical design experience.
• Proficient with CAD/CAE tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate automotive mechanical systems.
• Conduct performance analyses, simulations, and tests.
• Prepare technical documentation and design specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing specialists.
