Placements24 in Gauteng invites a Senior Technical Artist to bridge art and engineering, focusing on real-time VFX creation, optimization, and pipelines for our in-house game engine.

You will work with artists and engineers in Tembisa to push visual fidelity, develop shaders, tools, and workflows using Houdini, Niagara, EmberGen, and more, while mentoring juniors and staying current with industry advances.

A strong portfolio and 6+ years of experience are required; a relevant degree is preferred.

Competenze

• 6+ years of experience as a Technical Artist or VFX Artist.
• Experience in real-time VFX creation for games.
• Proficiency with at least one major engine.
• Strong shader and material authoring skills.
• Experience with Python or C# tool development.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication.
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality real-time VFX.
