About the Role

Our client, a well-established real estate valuation firm, is seeking an experienced and certified Senior Real Estate Appraiser to join their team in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, ZA. This hybrid role combines essential fieldwork with the flexibility of remote work for analysis and report writing. The Senior Appraiser will be responsible for conducting thorough property valuations for a variety of purposes, including mortgage lending, investment analysis, and legal disputes. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, a deep understanding of appraisal methodologies, and the ability to produce accurate, well-supported appraisal reports. You will play a key role in providing critical insights that inform significant financial decisions for our client's diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site inspections and gather all necessary property information for valuation purposes.


• Research and analyze comparable sales, market trends, and economic data relevant to property values.


• Apply various appraisal methodologies (sales comparison, cost, income capitalization) accurately.


• Prepare comprehensive and defensible appraisal reports that meet industry standards and client requirements.


• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of appraisal regulations, USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice), and local market conditions.


• Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other stakeholders regarding appraisal findings.


• Manage appraisal assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.


• Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness.


• Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior appraisers within the team.


• Effectively balance field work with remote analysis and report generation in this hybrid capacity.

Requirements
