The successful candidate will perform valuations using cost, sales comparison, and income approaches, inspect properties, prepare reports to regulatory standards, and communicate clearly with clients while working independently from a home office.

Qualifications

• Certified Valuer or Registered Appraiser with relevant professional accreditation in South Africa.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate appraisal, with a diverse portfolio of property types.
• In-depth knowledge of appraisal theory, principles, and techniques, including cost, sales comparison, and income approaches.
• Proficiency with appraisal software (e.g., CommDesk, Valueconnect) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and accuracy.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to professional conduct.
• Familiarity with the Durban real estate market and its specific characteristics is highly advantageous.
• Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated home office space conducive to productive remote work.
