Placements24 in Welkom, Free State, seeks a Radio Network Optimization Engineer to improve coverage, capacity, and QoS through data analysis and strategic tuning of 2G/3G/4G/5G RAN. You will perform drive tests, identify bottlenecks, and drive optimization initiatives with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications and 3–5 years of experience, with proficiency in TEMS, Actix and Atoll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in radio network optimization.
• Strong RF, propagation models and cellular architecture knowledge.
• Proficiency with TEMS, Actix and Atoll tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze radio network performance data to identify improvement areas.
• Conduct drive tests and measurements to assess network performance.
• Develop and implement tuning plans for 2G/3G/4G/5G RAN.
• Collaborate with planning and deployment teams to meet targets.
• Monitor KPIs and report on network health and optimization progress.
• Stay updated with trends in radio network optimization.
