Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a dynamic construction firm in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will oversee cost estimation, tendering, and final accounts, ensuring projects stay financially viable and profitable while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients.

With at least 7 years' experience, a degree in Quantity Surveying, and professional registration where possible, you will lead cost control, contract administration, and claims management on commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Professional registration with SACPVP or SACQSP is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial/industrial projects.
• Proven experience in cost management, tendering, contract administration, and claims management.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and standard office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for commercial and industrial projects.
• Manage tendering, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Control project costs, forecast final costs, and monitor expenses.
• Value work performed and prepare interim payment certificates.
• Manage variations, claims, and final account settlement.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors on commercial matters in Polokwane.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and building regulations.
• Conduct site visits to verify quantities and progress.
• Provide commercial advice to optimize project profitability.
