The ideal candidate will hold a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, with 8+ years of experience, and strong knowledge of SMM2, JBCC

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial/industrial projects.
• In-depth knowledge of measurement standards (e.g., SMM2) and contract forms (e.g., JBCC, FIDIC).
• Proficiency with quantity surveying software and estimation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for tender submissions.
• Evaluate tenders, negotiate with subcontractors, and award contracts.
• Administer construction contracts, including managing variations, claims, and payments.
• Monitor project expenditure, track costs, and prepare financial reports.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities of work performed.
• Identify cost overruns and implement cost-saving measures.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract negotiation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Registered with a relevant professional body (e.g., SACQSP) is an advantage.
• Must be able to work full-time in Klerksdorp, North West .
