Job summary

Our client, a well-established industrial firm in Polokwane, seeks a Senior Industrial Engineer focusing on Quality Systems and Process Control. You will develop, implement, and maintain QMS, drive CAPA, and lead SPC programs to ensure processes meet stringent quality standards; collaborate with production, QA, and R&D teams to embed quality across manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial engineering with a focus on quality systems and process control.
• Proven expertise in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001 preferred.
• Strong SPC and Six Sigma expertise; Black Belt desirable.
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques (5 Whys, Fishbone).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Analyze production processes to identify root causes of quality issues and implement CAPA.
• Design and oversee SPC programs to monitor process variability.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Conduct internal audits of quality systems and processes, ensuring compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering on new product introductions to ensure manufacturability and quality.
• Develop and deliver training on quality standards and procedures to staff.
• Monitor product quality metrics and report trends to management.
• Manage supplier quality and work with procurement to ensure incoming materials quality.
• Champion a culture of quality across the organization.
