Job summary

Square 1 Recruitment partners with an established engineering organisation in the mineral processing and mining equipment sector to recruit a senior QC Manager. This hands-on leadership role oversees welding, fabrication, NDT and overall manufacturing quality to meet stringent international standards.

Reporting to the Contracts Director, you will drive QA strategy, manage non-conformances and coordinate FATs, inspections and continuous improvement across manufacturing and project execution.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical/Metallurgical/Industrial Engineering or Quality Management.
• IWI-S / IWI-C / CSWIP Welding Inspector, or equivalent.
• ISO 9712 Level 2 in relevant NDT methods (VT, PT, MT and UT).
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level 2 minimum.
• Strong knowledge of ASME IX and ASME B31.3.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve quality control procedures and inspection processes.
• Ensure compliance with the company's QMS and applicable quality standards.
• Maintain quality procedures, inspection records and supporting documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and project execution.
• Monitor quality performance, defects, rework, and quality-related costs.
• Oversee inspections and testing across incoming, in-process and final stages.
