Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to lead QA initiatives in Centurion, Gauteng. You will develop comprehensive test strategies, drive manual and automated testing, and mentor junior QA staff to ensure software quality throughout the SDLC.

You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust, reliable software. The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to issue detection and prevention.

Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a reputable technology solutions provider, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join their dynamic team in Centurion, Gauteng. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing strategies and execution. The successful candidate will lead QA efforts, design and implement test plans, execute manual and automated tests, and identify/report defects. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure software meets functional requirements and quality standards before release. This role requires a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and a passion for delivering high‑quality software. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews and requirements analysis to ensure testability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
• Mentor junior QA analysts and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare and present test summary reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Proven experience in developing test plans, test cases, and test strategies.
• Proficiency in both manual and automated testing tools and techniques (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
• Experience with bug tracking and test management software (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr, TestRail).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in API testing and performance testing is a plus.
• Must be able to work on-site in Centurion, Gauteng.
