Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Test Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring that software applications meet business requirements and quality standards through effective planning, execution, and reporting of test activities.This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in software testing while gaining exposure to enterprise systems, digital platforms, SAP applications, mobile applications, and eCommerce solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Preparation
- Review business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Assist in identifying test conditions and creating test scenarios.
- Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test execution packs.
- Participate in test planning and defect triage sessions.
Test Execution
- Execute manual test cases according to approved test plans.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing support activities.
- Validate application functionality against business requirements.
- Record test execution results accurately and provide status updates.
- Log defects with sufficient detail to enable efficient resolution.
- Retest resolved defects and verify fixes.
- Track defect progress and assist in follow-up with development teams.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain testing evidence and supporting documentation.
- Update test metrics and test execution reports.
- Assist in preparing daily and weekly test progress reports.
- Ensure all testing artefacts are stored according to governance standards.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and Senior Test Analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA practice.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification (advantageous).
- Relevant software testing courses or certifications will be beneficial.
Experience
- 0–2 years of software testing experience.
- Exposure to software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools is advantageous.
- Internship or graduate programme experience within IT will be beneficial.
Technical Skills
- Understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ALM, or Cloud ALM.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application testing.
- Understanding of defect lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
