Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join the Stellenbosch tech team. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and suites to ensure software quality and reliability.

Collaboration with development and product teams will be essential to build robust testing strategies. You will mentor junior QA engineers, contribute to process improvements, and help prevent defects early in the development cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of software QA/automation experience.
• Proficiency in at least one automation language (Python, Java, or JavaScript).
• Hands-on with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience testing APIs (REST/SOAP) and SDLC/Agile.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and performance testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline.
• Analyze results and work with developers to resolve defects.

About the Role

This role is crucial in identifying and preventing defects early in the development cycle. Key Responsibilities

Requirements
