Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in QA/QC within the food FMCG sector.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000.
• Experience implementing QA/QC programs and audits.
• Leadership with the ability to mentor teams and drive improvements.
• Excellent analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Proficient in CAPA and root cause analysis.
• Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills.
• Experience in Polokwane or similar environments is advantageous.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage QA/QC programs for all production processes.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and FSSC 22000 standards.
• Oversee internal and external audits of facilities and processes.
• Mentor QA/QC team and conduct training and performance reviews.
• Investigate deviations and customer complaints; implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain to ensure quality across the lifecycle.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Manage supplier quality assurance and raw materials compliance.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and best practices.
• Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
