About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Project Manager to oversee operational projects within the wine industry in the scenic Stellenbosch region. This role focuses on managing initiatives related to vineyard development, winery expansion, process improvements, and technology integration. You will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of these projects, ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals, quality standards, and sustainability practices. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise and an understanding of agricultural or manufacturing operations, contributing to the company's continued success in the competitive wine market.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of operational projects, from conception through to completion and post-implementation review.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, resource allocation, and realistic timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, including viticulture, winemaking, operations, and sales, as well as external suppliers and contractors.
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies to ensure smooth project progress.
• Ensure all projects adhere to stringent quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company sustainability goals.
• Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and key stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a focus on operational or industrial projects.
• Experience within the agricultural, food and beverage, or manufacturing sectors is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and proficiency with relevant software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• A relevant degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
