Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Lead Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of high-profile construction and infrastructure projects around Tembisa, Gauteng. The role blends on-site supervision with remote strategic planning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with authorities, and maintain client relations while balancing site and remote oversight in a hybrid model.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive construction project management experience, with ≥3 years in lead capacity.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale infrastructure and building projects from inception to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and Gauteng regulations.
• Strong contract management, procurement, and financial control skills.
• Excellent leadership and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficient in PM software (MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction tools.
• Ability to balance on-site presence with remote oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field; relevant professional registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of multiple construction and infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets with optimized resources.
• Lead project teams including site supervisors, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings in person and virtually.
• Maintain client relationships with timely updates and issue resolution.
• Control costs, track expenditures, and approve invoices and change orders.
• Liaise with authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports for senior management.
