Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Site Manager for a major infrastructure project in Centurion, Gauteng. The role is hybrid, combining on-site supervision with remote planning and administration, to ensure safety, quality, and progress against schedule and budget.

You will lead site teams, coordinate trades, manage resources, and liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive site management experience on large-scale projects.
• Proven experience managing commercial or industrial construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of SA building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in project management software and office apps.
• Willingness to travel to the site and hold a valid driver's license.
• Commitment to promoting a strong safety culture on site.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
• Develop site work plans and schedules, coordinating with the project management team.
• Mentor site supervisors, foremen, and craft workers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations; conduct site inspections and safety audits.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to the site.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and subcontractors for site queries.
• Manage site resources to optimize productivity and control costs.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily progress reports.
• Participate in project meetings on-site and remotely.
