Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of commercial development projects around Klerksdorp, North West. You will lead end-to-end delivery from site acquisition support through to occupancy, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Property Development, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of proven experience in project management within commercial property development.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end process of commercial property development projects, including retail, office, and mixed-use developments.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans, including feasibility studies, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate and lead design teams, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Manage project finances, track expenditures, control costs, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
• Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Monitor market trends and identify potential new development opportunities.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting to senior management and investors.
