Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Engineer to lead and deliver energy infrastructure projects in Benoni, Gauteng. You will provide technical leadership, oversee lifecycles, ensure safety, on-time delivery and quality across projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 7+ years in project engineering or management in energy, and strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Pr.Eng. or PMP certification is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Civil) required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project engineering or management in energy infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) or PMP certification is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and closure of energy infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed project plans: scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams incl. engineers, contractors, stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement, contract management, and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Monitor progress and implement corrective actions.
