Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead power infrastructure projects in the Bloemfontein region. You will oversee work from planning and design through to execution, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality standards.

Collaboration with engineering teams, contractors, and stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and project management skills, plus a thorough understanding of the power sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering within the power infrastructure sector.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to closure.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of power infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate and supervise engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers involved in project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout project lifecycle.
• Prepare regular project status reports and maintain project documentation.
