Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee critical utilities infrastructure projects in Benoni and surrounding Gauteng. You will manage end-to-end delivery of water, sanitation and electricity networks, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with at least 7 years of progressive project management experience in utilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project management focusing on utilities infrastructure.
• Proven track record managing large-scale water, wastewater, or energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, execution and closeout of utility infrastructure projects, including water treatment, pipelines and power distribution.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, budgets, schedules and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with municipal authorities, regulators, engineers and construction crews.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental regulations and quality standards throughout all phases.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement timely solutions to maintain project integrity.
• Manage project finances including budget control, cost reporting and invoice approvals.
