About the Role

Our client, a dynamic engineering firm specializing in chemical plant construction and upgrades, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Chemical Engineer for a challenging contract role. This position is based out of their offices near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga , with a hybrid work arrangement allowing for significant remote flexibility. You will be responsible for managing chemical engineering aspects of diverse capital projects, from feasibility studies and conceptual design through to detailed engineering, procurement, and construction support. Your role will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the chemical engineering design and execution for capital projects in the chemical processing industry.


• Develop process design packages, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and control philosophies.

• Manage engineering contractors and vendors, ensuring quality and adherence to project requirements.

Requirements
