About the Role

Our client, a prominent international chemical company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Engineer with strong project management skills to lead significant capital projects at their facilities near Randburg . This role demands a blend of technical expertise in chemical engineering and proven project leadership capabilities to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for all phases of project execution, from conceptualization and feasibility studies through detailed design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully managing complex chemical plant projects and possess excellent stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage capital projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Develop project execution plans, including scope definition, detailed design, procurement strategies, and construction management.
• Oversee the design and engineering phases, ensuring technical integrity and compliance with standards.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, procurement) and external contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure that all projects meet stringent safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements.
• Monitor project progress, report on status, and manage any changes to the project plan.

Requirements
