Job summary

Rheinmetall is hiring for a Plant Supervisor to plan, schedule and control resources for heat treatment and workshop production in the Western Cape. You will translate the plant manager's strategy into section-level goals and ensure adherence to PMI, FOI, CP and safety rules.

The role requires a National Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, at least five years in manufacturing with two in supervision, and experience with ERP systems like SAP and Team Centre. Shift work applies.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing/workshop; 2+ years in supervisory role.
• Explosive manufacturing experience advantageous.
• ERP system and Team Centre knowledge.
• Ability to plan, lead and ensure safety/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate resources for efficient production.
• Read and implement PMI/FOI/CP and ensure compliance.
• Lead LEAN initiatives and continuous improvements.
• Monitor stock, consumables and waste; drive corrective actions.
• Drive safety and quality issue closures.
• Prepare daily targets and report to Line Manager.
