Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment (automotive components preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and control.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Engineering or Operations Management is highly desirable.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide a team of production staff, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders.
• Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
• Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Manage raw material inventory and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Maintain accurate production records and generate regular reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma initiatives.
