Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Production Engineer to optimize oil and gas production operations in the Richards Bay area. This position is vital for maximizing output, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the integrity of production facilities within the Oil & Gas sector . You will analyze production data, implement artificial lift systems, and collaborate with field operations teams to address production challenges and drive performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute production optimization strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from existing wells.
• Design, implement, and manage artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift, rod pumps) and surface facilities.
• Monitor well and facility performance, diagnose issues, and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime and production losses.
• Conduct production forecasting, decline analysis, and economic evaluations for workover and intervention projects.
• Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers to ensure integrated field development and production strategies.
• Ensure all production operations in Richards Bay adhere to safety, health, and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in production engineering , with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proven experience with artificial lift systems, wellbore flow, and production facility operations.
• Proficiency in production data analysis software and production system modeling.
• Solid understanding of reservoir fundamentals and their impact on production.
