Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Senior Production Chemist to join our Rustenburg-based operations team. The role focuses on optimizing hydrocarbon production processes, enhancing efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance.

You will troubleshoot production chemistry issues, develop chemical treatment programs, and advise production engineers and field staff on chemical applications. With a minimum of six years in production chemistry in oil & gas or mining, you will apply

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in production chemistry within the oil and gas industry or mining.
• Strong knowledge of crude oil and natural gas treating processes, corrosion inhibitors, scale inhibitors, and demulsifiers.
• Experience with laboratory analysis techniques and data interpretation.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety best practices for chemical management.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Develop, implement, and manage effective chemical injection strategies for oil and gas wells.
