Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Product Manager in Midrand, Gauteng to shape product strategy and drive development for a fast-growing tech company. You will define the vision, roadmap and requirements while collaborating with engineering, design, marketing and sales to bring innovative products to market.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product management, strong leadership and analytical skills, and a track record of launching software products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in product management with a track record of launching and managing software products.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, agile methodologies, and user-centered design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis.
• Translate strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work with design teams to create intuitive user experiences.
• Develop go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales.
• Monitor product performance and iterate based on feedback.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on the product and market.
• Mentor junior product managers and contribute to the practice.
