Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in product management with a track record of launching and managing software products.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, agile methodologies, and user-centered design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools.

About the Role

Our client, a respected recruitment consultancy, is seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and development for a rapidly growing technology firm in Midrand, Gauteng, ZA . This critical role involves defining the product vision, roadmap, and feature requirements, working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to bring innovative products to market. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to ensure our client's offerings remain at the forefront of the industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills, passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and requirements.
• Translate product strategy into detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, agile methodologies, and user-centered design principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation.
• Proficiency in using product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, product roadmap software).
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Experience in SaaS or technology product management is highly preferred.
• Understanding of the Gauteng business and technology landscape is advantageous.
