Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in process safety engineering in petrochemical/oil & gas/chemical industries.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM principles, including PHA methods, mechanical integrity, and management of change.
• Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) design and functional safety (IEC 61511).

Responsibilities

• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If for new/existing processes.

About the Role

This critical role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of process safety across their petrochemical facilities, focusing on hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of robust safety management systems. You will play a key role in safeguarding personnel, assets, and the environment by promoting a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement in safety performance. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional analytical skills and a deep understanding of chemical process hazards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies for new and existing processes.


• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and procedures.


• Perform incident investigations and root cause analyses, recommending and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.


• Ensure compliance with relevant national and international process safety regulations and standards.

Requirements
