Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize advanced process designs for energy generation facilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new projects and upgrades.
• Monitor process performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and research & development, to ensure seamless project execution and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for process engineering initiatives.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry best practices in renewable energy.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering within the energy sector, with a strong focus on renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, biomass, etc.).
• Proven experience in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and process control systems.
• In-depth knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
• Proficiency in relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working in the Mahikeng, North West region or similar industrial environments is preferred.
