Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and project management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, P&IDs, and operational manuals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Monitor process performance and implement optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on the energy sector, particularly renewables.
• Proven experience in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II), and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software packages and CAD tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience in the Bloemfontein area or willingness to relocate is a plus.
